After leaving university I became aware about the lack of knowledge I had about the workplace. After a series of jobs I wasn't entirely happy in I eventually ended up in the world of Marketing & Events and loved it! However, I was also surprised with all the times I had said to myself 'Why didn't anyone tell me this at uni and saved me all this time?' referring to all the little things I'd learnt along the way about working in different industries and different sized organisations. Thus the idea of Student Networking was born as I've always felt there is a need for more honest information exchange between employers and students.
I also believe your network is a great asset in leading you to a happy and successful career. I've learnt this through experience as I landed my initial job in Marketing due to the people I knew. Student Networking has been set up to help you create that invaluable network of friends, advisors and potential employers to help you in the future.

On the Personal Front: I am in my early forties and live in an amazing part of the world - Central London. I have a brilliant and beautiful 6 year old daughter who I love to bits. My family all live nearby, which means I get to see them alot. I have travelled a fair amount, visiting both sides of America, and some of Europe.
Some of my major achievements include: winning the 40 yard dash at Butlins when I was 4 and a bit, getting throught the try out for Gladiators in 1995,spending a year working at a Cardiac Rehab centre in Chicago USA in 1995 and winning the 2001 business management award at Edwards Lifesciences for outstanding business development.
My proudest moment was being present at the birth of my daughter. I intend at some stage to visit the modern 7 wonders of the world. These include, the Grand Canyon, Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Machu Pichu in Peru, Pyramids in Egypt, Serengeti Plains, and the Galapagos Islands.
