Once you are logged in

You will notice we have kept the logged in page similar to the front page so you can find information easily and quickly.


At the top you will see buttons Your Blog, Your Files, Your Network, Your Messgaes, Your Resources, Your Pages, Your Profile & Forums
Each one of these is explained below:

Your Blog

- You can use this to create blogs, view your previous blogs, friends blogs and mark blogs you are interested in.
- To start a new blog go to Post a new entry, enter the title and the content, highlight key words and click on publish.
- You can also view your Friends blogs by clicking on this option.
- We also have the option to View all posts, posts in community, and this includes those that have comments and those that do not have comments as yet.

Your files
- You can use this to add a file or folder giving you the opportunity to upload CV's, articles you find interesting or may have written and showcase your work and you can add all of this to your profile. Please note that for all your information you have the option to make it public or private. We recommend you keep your information private so you can avoid other people who are not members of student networking getting hold of it and can retain complete control of who can view your information.

Your Network
- Lists the communities joined or created by yourself and also lists the friends you are connected to.
- Tells you the ones you own and can create community
- You can invite people to join your community
- You have the option to look at your friends and friends of the people you are connected to
- The Friendship requests button allows you to see who has asked you to be their friend
- If you would like to invite people onto the website you can do so on this page by inserting their name and email address and clicking on the invite function. Student Networking will then automatically send them an invote on your behalf.


 Your Messgages
- This contains all your messgaes received from or sent to friends. When you join Student Networking you will recieve a message welcoming you.
- If you would like to send a message to someone you can use the compose buutton to do so. In the To field you will find the name of all your friends that you can send a message to. Please note you have to be friends with someone to send them a message.

Resources
- Lists all the feeds you have chosen

Pages
Will be covered in more detail later

Profile - Takes you to your profile that you can update

Forums
- The site has a forum that you can discuss topics on

Account settings
- This allows you to change basic details such as your e-mail address and records

Finally log off allows you to log off the site.

We highly recommend that you play around with the website to learn about all its different functions and how to make the most of them.
